Chandigarh, 15th, April.

The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and former Union Minister, Kumari Selja said that the BJP's manifesto is merely a guarantee of Modi's lies and phrases. There is no roadmap for the welfare of the nation's people, who have been suffering for the past 10 years. Neither Modi nor the BJP have fulfilled the promises made in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Their aim is not to take any steps in the interest of the public but to change the constitution of the country so that no one can check their arbitrariness. 

In a statement released to the media, Kumari Selja said that this is not the first time the BJP is contesting elections. The public gave the BJP a chance to run the country's government for 10 years, but the BJP and PM Modi have failed to fulfill any of the promises made during these 10 years. After running the government for 10 years, 83% of the educated youth are still unemployed, so how can they guarantee employment? Their promise to provide 2 crore jobs a year has proven to be a phrases. 

The former Union Minister selja said that even after the martyrdom of 700 farmers, they have not yet provided a law guaranteeing MSP for crops. In 10 years of governance, they neither implemented the Swaminathan Commission report nor doubled the income of farmers. The BJP and its leaders, who have been treating farmers unfairly and calling them terrorists and Khalistanis, will also not fulfill any promises made to the farmers in the future, a realization that has dawned upon the farmers. Kumari Selja said that the Congress government implemented the Food Security Act. The BJP only increased the grain allotment by 5 kg, which is a right of the poor, not a favour. Inflation is at its peak, and it has become nearly impossible for people to manage their households. Yet, there is no mention of controlling inflation in this manifesto. There is not even a single line about reducing the prices of petrol, gas, or diesel. There is no mention of reducing GST or any other taxes. The BJP, which placed promises in its 2014 manifesto and repeated them in 2019, has now presented them anew in the 2024 manifesto as a guarantee of Modi's lies and phrases. Discussing 2024, they have directly jumped to 2047. Kumari Selja said that the BJP people loudly boast about lies and phrases, and now because of many phrases such as depositing 15 lakh rupees in accounts, bringing back black money from abroad, providing employment, increasing farmers' incomes, eradicating poverty, providing housing for everyone, and implementing one rank one pension, Modi and his associates have been exposed. They lie very cleanly, but now they have lied so much that no one in the country trusts them anymore.
